Local farmers and Main Street Searcy are making final preparations to open the Main Street Searcy Farmers’ Market next Saturday, April 22, on the Courthouse Square in downtown Searcy.

The Market will be open for the first day of the 2017 season on the east side of the Courthouse Square Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to noon-or until sold out.

There will be a variety of Arkansas grown produce, plants, baked goods, farm fresh eggs, jellies, honey, handmade soaps and USDA certified meat available at this year’s market. In addition to locally grown fruits and vegetables, the market will be offering assorted woodwork, crafts and handmade goods throughout the summer months. Newly designed market T-shirts, sponsored by Unity Health, will be available for purchase on Saturday as well.

This season’s hours of operation will be Saturday mornings from 8:00 a.m. to noon and Tuesday afternoons from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
