Nancy Showalter 

 

Nancy Showalter is the owner and manager of Stotts Drug Company, the oldest retail business in Searcy.


Stotts was started by Nancy’s grandfather L.O. Stotts in 1927. She is the third-generation pharmacist, following her father, Roger Williams, footsteps.


She is married to Roy Showalter, the Senior High librarian at White County Central Schools. Her son Parker is a firefighter in Texarkana, Texas, and is married to Jessica Showalter. Her daughter Anna Claire Showalter is 14. Nancy has two granddaughters, Brooklyn and Bristol. Her hobbies include reading, traveling and exploring new places with her family.


Nancy serves on the Searcy Airport Commission, the Board of Directors of Newhope Industries, Board of Directors of the Searcy Education Foundation, member of Chapter AA PEO, Searcy Junior Auxiliary and is an active member of First United Methodist Church where she is a member of the VanPatten Handbell Choir.


“My advice to new board members is to try and attend board meetings each month. This allows you to get to know fellow board members and to network with them and it also helps you keep up with what is going on in our city.”
