United Way of White County is very excited to announce the launch of a brand new program. CharityTracker is a web-based database designed to be easy-to-use and has been proved to be excellent for uniting agencies and communities together in collaboration as we do good works for our neighbors in need. This service will be offered free to any assistance provider in White County. Assistance providers include, but are not limited to; nonprofits, churches, government agencies, and school counselors.  CharityTracker will open communication between these charitable organizations, which will better organize the giving capacity of our community. Whether an individual is seeking shelter, food, clothing, or any other challenge, they can go to any trusted provider in the network and these organizations will take the necessary steps to assist.  This assistance includes tracking a client’s use of resources to ensure that these resources are not misused.

The CharityTracker program will also demonstrate the gaps in services in our community, which United Way of White County hopes to help meet. CharityTracker will be United Way of White County’s first step in a new direction that will collect data and open new doors for additional funding. The agency’s graduate intern, Katelyn Edgin, has been researching the benefits of the program and completed training from the database manufacture, Simon Solutions.  Edgin is working to raise awareness of CharityTracker by reaching out to partner agencies, churches, and other charitable organizations within White County. A training session on Charity Tracker and its benefits is open to any assistance provider in White County on January 25, 2019 at 9am - 10:30am. The training will be held at Harding University in the American Heritage Building, room 209. If you would like to attend, or know anyone who would, please RSVP via United Way of White County’s Facebook event, or call the United Way of White County office at 501.268.7489.
